The Feastival 2017…two months to go!

The Feastival 2017…two months to go!

We know we’ve been harping on about the arrival of summer for some time now, but this time it feels different. Firstly, temperatures reached 35 degrees this week. That’s right, 35 degrees…and we live in ENGLAND! Secondly, it’s Glastonbury weekend which can only mean that festival season has officially begun.

If like us, you aren’t one of the thousands that have descended on Worthy Farm this weekend, all is not lost. The Big Feastival is only 2 months away and we have loads of great artists joining us this year who are warming up at Glastonbury as we speak. We’ve picked out some of the ones to watch below!

August Bank Holiday on the farm is so close we can almost feel it.

Big Love,

BF team x

Playing at Glastonbury this weekend…

Gentleman’s Dub Club

Formed in 2006 and now celebrating over ten years as a nine-piece, Gentleman’s Dub Club initially came together as a dub band, having been inspired by the scene in Leeds. Merging together dub, ska, reggae and electronic influences, it didn’t take long for the infectious sounds of GDC to become widespread! They will be playing on our Main Stage on Friday.

Norman Jay MBE

Norman Jay is unquestionably one of the most respected and popular DJs in the world today. Co-founder of the legendary Good Times Sound System and London dance music station KISS FM, Jay fostered the ‘Rare Groove’ scene pushing the boundaries of the UK’s emerging club culture. He will be appearing at The Big Feastival on the Main Stage on Friday.

Sounds of Sirens

Exeter-based duo Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood dovetail beautifully on their debut album, For All Our Sins, a beguiling acoustic pop collection replete with lyrical sensibility. The new album was released on 26 May 2017 to wide praise including from R2 Magazine who called it a “stunning debut collection”. They will be performing at The Big Feastival on The Udder Stage on Sunday.
