FIELD STUDIES ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE RELEASE AND GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE THIS JUNE

“An enthralling introduction, packed with drama and no small degree of maturity” Clash

“A knack for crafting atmospheric indie pop songs, packed with cosmic chord bends, pensive lyrics and spacey guitar” NME

“Brilliant and beautiful. They have a massive future ahead for them” BBC Introducing

“Another shining example of why this band is held in such regard” Drowned In Sound

Hotly-tipped Nottingham four-piece Field Studies are set to release their new single ‘Money of America’ on June 22nd 2015, ahead of a performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival in the same month.

The rising stars have been rapidly winning over both fans and tastemakers with their elegantly crafted soundscapes, set against a collage of cascading melodies and textures, and a series of stand-out live performances.

Defying their tender years, Field Studies display a maturity in their music far beyond their age, and have already found their way into the ears of smitten tastemakers such as Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, 6Music’s Tom Robinson and XFM. Support shows with Girl Band, a widely acclaimed set at this year’s Dot To Dot Festival, and a BBC slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival has only brought the band further to the forefront of their bubbling hometown scene.

The forthcoming single ‘Money of America’ is perhaps the perfect introduction to the band, it’s elegant beauty tempered with a burning angst, resulting in a stunning, driving track, and one that marks Field Studies out as a serious ‘one to watch’ this year.

‘Money of America’ is released through Denizen Recordings on June 22nd 2015 and will be available from all good digital stores. Field Studies will perform on the BBC Introducing stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 28th, and Y Not Festival on August 1st, with more live dates set to be announced shortly.
