Flagship reveal remix of new single ‘I Want You’ / new EP ‘Faded’ out on July 10th
“North Carolina’s Flagship are quickly establishing themselves as a band with an eloquent and emotionally stirring sound.” – EARMILK
“stabbing guitar lines, soaring vocals and a chorus big enough to fill the Grand Canyon.” – Clash
“Indie rock greatness.” – The 405
North Carolina band Flagship today debut the remix of their new single, ‘I Want You’ off their highly anticipated new EP ‘Faded’ (out July 10 via Bright Antenna Records).
In support of their new EP, the band will play July support dates with Good Old War. The tour kicks off July 12th in Cleveland, and culminates with two California dates at the end of the month.
On the new EP, Drake Margolnick (one half of Flagship along with Michael Finster) says, “It is the most mature writing we have done. We didn’t feel like we were writing songs, just writing lines. It’s just real life; that’s all it is. That’s what we’d like to create; something that’ll be around for a long time and people will still listen to it. Leave a good legacy, write good music and have a lot of fun doing it.”

Known for their immersive blend of pop-minded melodies and passionate, stadium-sized indie rock – on new track ‘I Want You’ the band sifts through the pastoral folk rock graces of bands like Fleet Foxes, The National and Grizzly Bear, with occasional detours into huge wide-eyed pop catharsis.
Flagship has spent the last few months on the road in support of their debut album, released last October via Bright Antenna Records. To produce the album, the band collaborated with Ben Allen, known for his work with Animal Collective, Walk The Moon, Bombay Bicycle Club, Youth Lagoon and many more. Additionally, the band recently garnered significant buzz for their notable performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
