GET INTO THIS – A BAND YOU MUST HEAR IN 2016
Fresh from appearing live from Stoke’s infamous Sugarmill on The Steve Lamacq Show on BBC 6 Music’s as part “independent venue week”, FLESH will soon release their brand new killer track ‘GON N DUN’ on own record label ‘sNotpop records’ next month.
After honing their craft for the past 18 months Hazza, Robbie, Cozza and Jon have completely nailed their sound, with Steve Lamacq himself commenting they’ve ‘a defined idea of what they want to be’. ‘GON N DUN’ is a kind of hybrid of grunge, rock, rave and beats somewhere in your face between The Prodigy playing guitars and Nirvana sampling breaks. The single was instantly played on BBC Radio 1 Huw Stephens and John Kennedy’s Radio X X-posure show as soon as it was announced last week. Watch out for a new video to follow soon too!
Live, FLESH will also be playing one of the prestigious NME Awards shows (associated with Austin Texas) in February 2016 supporting LA rockers ‘together Pangea’ with whom they’ll then be touring across the UK in February. Before that FLESH also will return to headline Manchester’s Sound Control following their sold out show in October for the venue’s 6th Birthday Party this Saturday 30th January
FLESH have had a great response with various Industry tastemakers supporting the band in 2015. Their debut single ‘W8 4 ME/DEAD LONELY’ enjoyed airplay from Radio X (ex-XFM), BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing plus press & blog love from the likes of NME, DIY, Line of Best Fit, Rollacoaster, GigSlutz, Manchester Evening News & many more. Emphatically, FLESH also self-released single ‘NOT GNA’ in the summer too with their low budget DIY YouTube flick picking up 15K views in just a couple of months!
The lads also headlined with their first nationwide tour including a sold out hometown show and appeared as main support for the likes of PEACE, Pretty Vicious, DMA’s and Darlia, 2016 already looks set to be another busy one for FLESH.
