Folks – Say Something
The new single from bluesy rockers Folks ‘Say Something ‘will be on general release on the 18th October. It was taken from the album ‘I See Cathedrals’ which is due for release slightly earlier on 1stOctober. The Manchester bred band will be on tour in September and October then off again round more of the UK supporting Band of Skulls in November and December.
The single is a nice blend of blues and indie with a hint of folk with funky rhythms and a lovely blues bass line. The lyrics are well sung and overall it has a wistful air about it. The song describes the sad part of a relationship where both parties know that something has gone wrong but neither is sure just what that is and if it can be fixed but despite its sad theme it has a cheerfully optimistic lilt that hope is not lost.
