‘Sin and Bones’ is the sixth studio release from American metal heavy weights Fozzy. Set for release on August 13th Sin and Bones brings you ten tracks of in your face, anthemic metal.
Lets remind you all here that I said Fozzy not Ozzy. Yes that’s Fozzy featuring WWE’s very own Chris Jericho the ayatollah of Rock and Rolla not the prince of darkness.
Yes Chris Jericho is most well known for being a professional wrestler but his band Fozzy can’t be overlooked. They have been recording since 2000 and have toured all over the world, including several appearances at Download Festival (where I happened to see them this year).
To get an idea of the musical style imagine late eighties bands such as Cinderella and Poison minus the shitty make up and crotch stuffing, but with more aggression and a tongue in cheek attitude as well as a modern outlook on music. Fozzy may not be the most original band to grace the world stages but they definitely have something to offer their audience. They are a well rounded rock and roll/metal band that have the charisma and attitude to match their music.
Heavier than a chair shot and more in your face than a drop kick Fozzy are definitely onto a winner and show no sign of letting up yet. ‘Sin and Bones’ is a great listen and I suggest you buy it or I’ll tell Jericho where you live. 8/10
