FRANCISCO THE MAN SIGN TO FAT POSSUM

LA’s Francisco The Man is excited to announce they’ve teamed up with Fat Possum to release their debut album. It hits the UK and Europe next year.

It took roughly seven years, a teenage instrumental rock band, a debut EP, additions and subtractions, a roller rink and a near death experience to arrive at Francisco The Man. Following a two-year hiatus beginning in 2008, the band relocated from Riverside to Los Angeles, CA.
In celebration of this announcement, the band has released their second single “Big Ideas”.

The band had previously shared their first single earlier this summer, titled “Progress”, and reviewed by Pitchfork as “…indie in theory, but with big-tent ambitions, a little shoegaze, a lot of synth-pop, the faintest hint of danceable forms of punk.”  You can watch the video, which debuted at Stereogum for it here.
