Gainesville, FL Sports Reference Streaming ‘Somewhere Else’ EP New Noise

Out Tomorrow on Emocat Records

Gainesville, FL’s Sports Reference will release their new EP “Somewhere Else” EP tomorrow (January 5, 2018) via Emocat Records, but you can stream the whole thing now on New Noise.

‘Somewhere Else’ was recorded at Haunted Muscle Beach Studios in Gainesville with David Bell (Dikembe) producing the record.

Jeremy McGuire (drums/vocals) says, “I feel this record is really what the band sounds and feels like. With our first EP we recorded it very early not even knowing if we were going to be a band much longer. With this one, it was much different. We really worked on these songs a lot by road testing them. And because of that and our great producer David, I feel like it really shows off what the band is.”

Joey Johnson (guitar/vocals) says, “It’s like Alkaline Trio writing Balance and Composure songs, but badly. Also it is a collection of ideas from a very specific time in our lives.”
