George Clinton Extending Farewell Tour into 2020
GEORGE CLINTON & PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC
Due to popular demand, Grammy Award Winning Godfather of Funk George Clinton is pushing back his retirement and extending his Farewell Tour into 2020 with Parliament Funkadelic. “I’m feeling good and the band is at it’s best – there are just too many fans and too many cities that we were not able to funk this year and we can’t leave them hanging like that…so I guess considering all things, what I am saying is, for now, F%#@k retirement! ”
So far 2020 will see Dr. Funkenstein hit the road in Europe, with a string of UK dates in June. Plans are also in the works for another round of “One Nation Under a Groove Tour” shows this summer in select cities with a fresh lineup of jam-band luminaries. Many more special projects are in the works for 2020, so stay tuned.

His legendary Mothership Tour was so influential on popular music the Mothership stage prop was recently included as a permanent installation at the Smithsonian Museum of African American History, which opened this year in Washington DC. Clinton continues his mark on contemporary music today, most recently winning his first-ever Grammy Award in 2016 for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly.
