Brand new UK talent Georgia Twinn has dropped her new single ‘Raccoons’, a dark pop anthem out now on EMI Records.
Inspired by a Snapchat group of the same name that was infiltrated by a group of lads who spent their time making life difficult for others on social media, ‘Raccoons’ to Georgia means “confidence. I listen to it when I’m down, to remind myself of how strong and powerful I can be. I hope you can too.”Georgia’s creative director and co-director of accompanying video Courtney McWilliams says “Georgia is such a dream to work with creatively because she has the spirit of a smart rebellious female soloist, and the talent to actually pull it off. Directing ‘Raccoons’, with my co-director and friend Ciaran Linden Beale, was my first venture into directing, and I wanted to make sure that we told the story in the most slick visual way possible, simply because the story is so personal to Georgia. We wanted it to be a contemporary ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’; a story of twisted teenage-hood, resilience and revenge.” Essex born 17-year-old Georgia Twinn made a very impressive entrance late last year with the release of her debut single ‘You Shouldn’t Have F****k With Me’ and its follow up ‘I Don’t Mind’, with support from Popjustice, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Independent, BBC Introducing and more.
