New York, NY (July 17, 2026) – Today, Montreal-based glitch-folk artist and producer MEGGO, aka Megan Ennenberg releases the 2nd Chapter of her eavesdropper trilogy – eavesdropper ;; the crash, featuring the title-track single. With it, MEGGO announces a hometown performance in Montreal, at P’tit Ours on October 14. Prior to that, MEGGO will perform at the inaugural Second Summer Festival in Toronto this September.

the crash traces the process of finding a voice across shifting roles, as artist, producer, and gal with opinions and taste. Each chapter inhabits a distinct emotional and creative phase. Chapter 1, eavesdropper ;; death stories (2024) was rooted in grief and the tender act of witnessing life in moments of loss. Chapter 2, eavesdropper ;; the crashexplores, rupture and the messy aftermath, walking away from a car crash where someone else was at the wheel, and the uneasy path to forgiveness.

In the crash you are the passenger while someone else is in the driver’s seat – someone who had shown clear warning signs that they were dangerous. The album investigates our curiosity to see a disaster unfold in front of us, the call to the void and flirting with danger. This instinctual curiosity gets the better of us and we get into a car that we know is going to crash. In the aftermath of the crash, it traces backwards through the choices and warning signs that made you want to get in the car in the first place, moving through blame, shame, anger, understanding and finally forgiveness – the only way forward.

There’s a story in this album that people can latch on to however they find a way in,” notes MEGGO. “Maybe for you it’s about a ruptured relationship, a controlling partner, a terrible political leader, an un-empathetic robot in control,  I dunno. Anything that leads towards an inevitable demise, knowing that the person in control will crash the car, and deciding what to do with that information.”

the crash was written and produced by MEGGO, co-produced with Jameson Daniel and Austin Tufts. The record was mixed by Tufts and mastered Joao Carvalho. Featuring contributions from Ethan Soil (Fleece), Owen Chow, Quinn Bachand, Ben Michel, Gabie Che, Douglas Ennenberg, Rose Angeline, and what Megan dubbed her “roommate choir.”

MEGGO builds songs like collages: scraps of overheard voices, sounds gathered like lucky litter, and jagged samples woven together. Her music sits at the crossroads of folk tradition and digital experimentation, creating a glitched-out world where acoustic textures brush shoulders with modern manipulations. The pieces shouldn’t fit together, but they do, stitched by her intimate lyricism into a wild sonic quilt. The result is music that is fragile and forceful at the same time, flowers growing through cracks in the pavement.

Across her work, MEGGO nurtures a paradox. Her songs are deeply personal yet strangely communal. They invite the listener to eavesdrop on the private moments of  MEGGO’s world at once readymade and meticulously built by hand.
