2017 is surely the year the world is refusing to quit, and Jersey rockers The Black Clouds are showing no signs of slowing down. With the January 13 release of After All fast approaching, the band is debuting single “Self Control” via New Noise Magazine.
Recorded at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 with the legendary producer, “Self Control” has Jack Endino’s seal of approval, saying it “failed to suck.” What else could you want in a song?

The Black Clouds are an independent American rock band from central New Jersey. Comprised of guitarist/vocalist Dan Matthews, guitarist Neil Hayes, bassist Gary Moses, and drummer Cory King, The Black Clouds have rooted themselves in the DIY ethos their formation in late 2004. Self-produced, recorded and funded, the band’s constant motivation has been solely for the love of creating and performing unadulterated hard rock.
The Black Clouds made their debut in 2008 with the release of Wishing Well, followed by the 2012 release of their second record, Better Days. The band became veterans of the road, touring the continental US multiple times in support of both albums. After signing to Capacitor Records in 2015, the band began to work on their upcoming third LP, After All. Reuniting with producer Jack Endino, the album was recorded at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in Los Angeles before making its way to the Soundhouse in Seattle for mixing and mastering. After All features vocals from Mark Arm (Mudhoney) and guitar lines from Endino himself. Behind the pummeling grit and take-no-prisoners vocals, The Black Clouds’ authenticity and genuine passion for the music refuses to hide. After All will be released on January 13, 2017, via Capacitor Records.
