A recomended wickedly bizarre track for you from singer-poet-showgirl, Brigitte Aphrodite.
Brigitte Aphrodite releases new single Creshendorious on 7th August 2015
Self-penned musical My Beautiful Black Dog debuts Summer 2015 – catch it at Latitude Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and beyond…
“Black dog is what Winston Churchill used to call his depression… I have a beautiful black dog and I call her Creshendorious.”
Singer, poet, songwriter and feminist showgirl Brigitte Aphrodite reveals her brand new single Creshendorious, taken from her forthcoming debut studio album due for release in Autumn 2015. The single and album draw on music from My Beautiful Black Dog, an electrifying musical written and starring Brigitte, which comes to Latitude and Edinburgh Festival in Summer 2015.
Creshendorious is a gentle build of spoken word beauteousness which sees Brigitte’s inimitable voice soar to a final and exhilarating… well… crescendo. The music is moving, funny, naive, and knowing all at once, and Brigitte’s capacity for storytelling and deep, sometimes painful honesty shines through.

Creshendorious will be available to buy digitally on 07.08.15 via Beautiful Black Dog Records. All supporters of Brigitte’s Kickstarter will receive a download of the track.

About My Beautiful Black Dog
This exhilarating show challenges the urgent stigma around mental health and encourages the audience to take ownership of their own black dogs through infectious dance moves, swagger-boss costumes and banging tunes surrounded by silver streamers, sequins and sparkles. Brigitte is championing a new kind of ‘gig theatre’ which draws as much on the history of rock and roll as it does traditional theatrical performance.
