Heartstreets Premiere Music Video for
“Blind” via MILK
“…the excellent and emotionally heavy track “Blind.” It’s the kind of song you want to sway along to at a show and wipe away some tears to.” – The FADER
“Godon sorts through heartbreak in real-time on a devastating-but-lovely hook, while Beko adopts a bouncier flow that seems to pull from cherished ‘90s mixtapes.” – Complex
“’Blind’ is a cutting and ice-cold slice of confident r&b set to Kaytra’s minimalist blips and punchy kicks,” – okayplayer
“Produced by Kaytranada, Heartstreets unique, mellow tone juxtaposed with a deeper, electronic sound creates an experience like no other.” – Milk
On the heels of premiere of their Kaytranada-produced single “Blind,” Heartstreets release their music video for the song today via Milk. The video has a vibe similar to director Harmony Korine, and the minimal imagery is striking and compliments the ethereal song. Filmed in the duo’s hometown of Montreal, the video is a beautiful short film by director Zacharie Lavertu.
The duo, made up of Gab Godon and Emma Becko, first caught international attention after their summer 2016 hit “Cruising With You,” produced by Soulection’s DaP, off their debut EP You & I. Following the successes of the single, Heartstreets have been invited to share the stage with the likes of Gallant, The Internet, Daniel Caesar, Charlotte Cardin, Busty and the Bass and Dead Obies, among many.
Named one of NYLON’s “5 Canadian Bands That You Should Listen To Right Now,” last December, Heartstreets is excited to continue making music that pushes musical boundaries.
