Holy Now – Wishlist (Lazy Octopus Records)

Holy Now – Wishlist (Lazy Octopus Records)

The new single’s energy and brighter delivery reminds of the indie days where Brighton based bands could do not too much wrong. However echoes of an enjoyable past are no excuse, it 2016 and subject in hand is ‘Wishlist’ the first new single taken from the bands upcoming EP Please Call Me Back due in February 2017 again on Lazy Octopus Records.

Gothenburg based Holy Now debuted to wide spread acclaim with their debut EP Sorry I Messed Up in May 2016. The next EP bodes well if ‘Wishist’ is reprehensive of the forthcoming EP. Easy to understand the comparisons of bands like Alvvays, Hinds and Angel Olsen.  Meantime I will no doubt, dine out on the news that I got to use the word jangely once again, good job I am not too overcome, already saw the way things were in the bones I cast, but welcome just the same. 7.8/10
