On-U Sound share a new video for ‘Try Love’ by Horace Andy, one of the more introspective and soulful tracks from ‘Midnight Rocker’, co-written by Jeb Loy Nichols, producer Adrian Sherwood, and the recently departed and much-missed George Oban (Aswad), with Horace in mind.
The reggae legend (and Massive Attack member) delivers the tune with typical soulfulness and grace. The tempo, subtle strings and synth swoops suggest classic lovers rock on first listen, but closer attention to the lyrics reveal a more universally conscious message to reject the trappings of wealth and fame and embrace love for all those around you.
The video was directed by Yannick Reid and edited by Aleksandra Talacha.
The release of ‘Midnight Rocker’ has been met with a huge amount of critical acclaim and after completely selling out of the first pressing is now back in stock at record shops worldwide.
