“A bold, tribal drumbeat, a huge vocal performance, and some Scandinavian electro inspiration merge together to create an impressive pop pinnacle.” Drowned in Sound
“A Leeds twosome inspired by “the darkness of the human mind and our difficult relationship with nature”, a pair that spent three months in Greenland of all places crafting their Knife-meets-PJ Harvey soundscapes.” NME
The Horn The Hunt are Leeds-based duo Clare Carter and Joseph Osborne who are set to release their new single ‘Find It Free It’ digitally on July 7th. The pair make expansive sweeping pop music that owes itself as much to synth inspired 80’s pop as it does to 90’s grunge.
‘Find It Free It’
The new single ‘Find It Free It’ is taken from the upcoming album ‘Terrafidella’, also due for release on July 7th 2014, and beautifully showcases Clare’s distinctive vocals shining through a kaleidoscope of rich synth sounds with rhythmic bass, powerful drums and chiming guitars. In Clare’s own words the song “is about having a ghost inside you that’s got lost. The ghost is mourning your wishes, your earliest desires and instincts. You can’t see the ghost but you know it’s there, wandering around and grieving for what you used to want or love”
Each week a new track taken from the duo’s upcoming 11-track album ‘Terrafidella’ will be released as a free download via the band’s Facebook page every Tuesday, starting the week of Tuesday 27th May through to the 4th August.
