House Gospel Choir Announce Hackney Church Show

Renowned for their electrifying live performances and distinctive fusion of gospel, house, soul and club culture, the choir will bring their signature energy to one of London’s most iconic venues for an unforgettable hometown show this December.
Founded in London in 2014 by creative producer and vocalist Natalie Maddix, House Gospel Choir has redefined what a choir can be. Blending the euphoric spirit of gospel with the energy and unity of house music, the collective has built an unmistakable live experience that transforms clubs, concert halls and festivals into moments of celebration and joy.
Today, House Gospel Choir is recognised around the world for its uplifting, high-energy performances, appearing everywhere from Glastonbury, BBC Proms, SXSW London, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Strictly Come Dancing, BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge and major festivals across Europe, Asia and Australia.
Their unmistakable sound has led to collaborations with some of the world’s biggest artists, including Harry Styles, Kylie Minogue, Rudimental, Nile Rodgers, Gregory Porter, Beverley Knight and many more. Whether performing alongside global superstars, headlining sold-out shows or taking centre stage at major festivals, House Gospel Choir brings the same unmistakable energy: joyful, soulful and completely immersive.
Beyond the stage, the collective has established itself as a recording artist in its own right. Their critically acclaimed debut album, RE//CHOIRED, released via Island Records, was hailed by Mixmag as “a spirited and feel-good celebration of house music and soundsystem culture” and “a testament to the power and healing potential of collectivity in music.” Building on that success, House Gospel Choir entered a bold new era with the independent release of Love Is The Message – their second album and the first to be released via founder Natalie Maddix’s independent label, Swear Down Music.
2026 marks another landmark chapter. Alongside a packed summer of major festival appearances, House Gospel Choir joined Harry Styles for a series of extraordinary performances, including The BRIT Awards, One Night Only at Manchester’s Co-op Live and Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre with Jules Buckley and his Orchestra. Their independent releases continue to grow in reach, while sold-out headline shows and international touring have firmly established House Gospel Choir as one of the world’s most exciting contemporary live acts.
At its heart, House Gospel Choir remains driven by the same mission that started it all: bringing people together through the transformative power of music. Every performance is an invitation – to sing louder, dance harder and experience the joy of belonging, however fleeting, in a room full of strangers. In a world that often feels divided, House Gospel Choir reminds us that the dancefloor can still be a place of connection.
Tickets for the new London show at Hackney Church on Saturday 5th December go on sale Thursday 30th July at 10am and will be available from www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk
