Hozier Announces New Single ‘Take Me To Church’.Hozier releases his new single ‘Take Me To Church’ on 15th September 2014. It precedes the release of his debut eponymous album on October 6th through Rubyworks/Island Records.
As far as calling cards go, Take Me To Church has already been a huge statement in the introductory stepping stones of this young Irish musician’s fledgling career.
Boasting an incredible nine million views on YouTube, Take Me To Church became a number 2 hit in Ireland, nestled itself in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers chart in the US, and led to Hozier make his television debut with performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, a performance soon after on The Ellen Show, alongside a series of sold-out, upgraded, and then sold-out again US live shows.
The video, an evocative work of art in its own right, and a viral smash that ended up on the frontpage of Reddit, has become a talking point on its own merit yet backed by one of the finest songs of recent years.

Following a packed performance in the John Peel tent at Glastonbury, Take Me To Church follows the acclaim for this young Wicklow artist’s debut UK EP ‘From Eden’ in the Spring, and his recent Radio 1 playlisted single, ‘Sedated’.
The eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Hozier’ is released on 6th October through Rubyworks/Island Records. It was co-produced by Hozier and Rob Kirwan, and recorded in the Irishman’s attic in Wicklow and at the Cauldron, Westland, and Exchequer Studios in Dublin.
