Hudson Taylor are brothers from the southern suburbs of Dublin who write beguiling folk songs. They’ve already amassed a huge underground following – their songs have had over two and a half million YouTube views already. They will release their new EP, Osea, on October 13th through Polydor Records. The Osea EP’s lead track ‘Care’ is produced by Florence & The Machine and Ed Sheeran collaborator Charlie Hugall and is a gentle, lolloping anthem with captivating dual harmonies. The song is already well known to their fans; an acoustic version available on YouTube has had nearly 70K views in less than a month. Osea is the follow-up to two acclaimed EPs, Cinematic Lifestyle and Battles, released on the brother’s own label Craic Records, with combined sales of over 10,000.
Hudson Taylor have spent a large chunk of 2013 perfecting their live show and this year alone have played to over 200,000 people. Over the past six months, they’ve supported Jake Bugg and The Rolling Stones (where they triumphantly filled in as a last minute replacement for Tom Odell in Hyde Park), as well as pitching up at a variety of festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival and Bestival. Their own headline shows have been similarly in ascension; they played sold out shows at Whelans in Dublin in April and London’s Dingwalls in July.
