The Inflation Kills return with new EP,
Grounds For Termination, on January 22
…debut new single, “Churches”
The Inflation Kills return with a new EP, Grounds For Termination, available on Friday, January 22, 2016. Listen to the album’s boisterous lead single, “Churches,“ HERE or below.
The Inflation Kills hail from Hamilton, ON, the fertile post-industrial breeding grounds for discordant and angular rock music. Made in the shadow of legendary Canadian punk rock icons and created from the remains of Kitchens and Bathrooms (Sonic Unyon/Forge Again) and Hoosier Poet (TikTokTikTok MUSIC!), with a member of TV FREAKS (Deranged).
Though Grounds For Termination is the band’s first release in over a decade, it returns to The Inflation Kills’ storied history of monumental guitar tones, unrelenting drive, jagged riffs, and towering melodies. Stacked chords soar over distorted bass and lightning-speed changes on the EP’s single, “Churches,” while mathematical precision cuts deep on “Oh Vision,” and the instrumental cut “Saskatoon” offers up a blistering punk tableau.
Coupled with a hefty lyrical dexterity, The Inflation Kills once again find themselves at a well-travelled crossroad, one that masters “noise rock for pop fans” (Exclaim!) and is devoted to an all-out sonic barrage.
Grounds For Termination is available as a limited edition cassette via Chicago-based Cold Slither Tapes. Pre-order the album HERE.
