INJI shares MK & Lee Foss remix for viral single ‘The One’
SHARES MK & LEE FOSS REMIX FOR VIRAL SINGLE ‘THE ONE’
The latest rising star in electronic-pop INJI today releases a remix for her viral “single-girl anthem” ‘The One’ by dance music titans MK and Lee Foss. The original version has accumulated over 4M streams since its release and has been heavily backed by UK radio and DSPs following a viral response from INJI’s unstoppable TikTok fanbase. MK and Lee Foss have reworked the track into a club-ready weapon, designed with a summer of packed out dancefloors in mind.
First exploding on the app for her smash hit ‘GASLIGHT’, which she released independently, INJI is making a name for herself for her tongue-in-cheek subversive pop, backed by an electronic punch. ‘GASLIGHT’ reached the Top 10 on the TikTok charts, with 3m+ creations and over 6 billion views of her sound, plus a Tiktok x Samsung campaign with none other than Nile Rogers. Since then, INJI released second single ‘MADELINE’, which quickly racked up 4M+ views and 625K+ likes in under 24 hours.
In INJI’s own words, ‘The One’ was “inspired by the universal love-life experience of a young woman. It’s that point in your life where it seems like there’s millions of boys around you (hitting you up, talking to you, taking you out on dates, hooking up with you) but none of them are close to what you want. All of those boys and experiences put together don’t even add up to what you are looking for: real love. It’s something every girl ever will relate to; and even though it’s actually an annoying experience, the song reframes it as a moment of super high self-confidence.
Overall, it’s the new single girl anthem. It’s a feel-good confidence boost for any woman who isn’t actively in love right now. For everyone else, it’s a straight up bop.”
INJI, real name Inci Guran, was born and raised in Turkey, although has spent time in both UK and US, where she studied finance at Penn university. Over her first two singles, she received support from the likes of SiriusXM, Apple, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Spotify, and BBC Radio 1. Keep your eyes peeled on INJI, who is a huge star to watch in 2023.
