Multi-instrumentalist Australian electronic duo Intergalactix, who recently released their highly anticipated debut EP, IWSOM (now available for sale on iTunes), are also a renowned international production duo. Consisting of longtime friends & collaborators Kristian Attard & Serg Dimitrijevic, the two have been working behind the scenes for more than a decade on projects with the likes of Cool & Dre, Good Charlotte, Jason Mraz, Heart, Earth Wind & Fire, Kelis, Allen Stone, Ariana Grande & Pras Michel(The Fugees), as well as Aussie heavyweights Jimmy Barnes & PNAU.
One of Intergalactix’s latest collaborations is with fellow LA-based duo, The Killbirds. An indie rock band that formed when Australian vocalist & guitarist, Bellafonte, arrived in the City of Angels & built an uncanny musical bond with drummer & Santa Monica native, Heath Cooley, The Killbirds have been equally as influenced by Australian bands like You Am I,Regurgitator & The Church as Los Angeles itself.
Intergalactix x The Killbirds collaboration “My Name Is Simon” is a unique, tongue-in-cheek cut that is at once deliciously catchy & self-effacing. The adorably hilarious accompanying video, featuring an extraordinary kid rock star (and complete with bikinis & tons of rock & roll antics), just premiered with PureVolume.
