Last month, Interpol launched ‘Interpolations,’ a series of collaborations that finds songs from the band’s latest album, ‘The Other Side Of Make-Believe’, reworked by artists Daniel Avery, Makaya McCraven, Jeff Parker, Jesu, and Water From Your Eyes. Today, you can hear the second installment, an interpolation of “Passenger” created by guitarist and composer Jeff Parker. Listen HERE.

“When asked to make a remix for Interpol, I was intrigued and initially excited to make something from the drum breaks on the original version of “Passenger,”” explains. Parker. “However, the muse had other plans for me, and it went in a different direction.”

The debut installment of the series arrived in April, with Makaya McCraven’s interpolation of “Big Shot City.” Listen HERE.

Interpol will perform as one of the headliners of Somerset House Summer Series 2023 on July 10th. The band play a run of UK headline shows in May, June and July, including appearances in Brighton, Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol, and Liverpool. Support will come from fellow Matador label mates and ‘Interpolations’ collaborators Water From Your Eyes.

Spring and summer will see Interpol at the top of a number of festival bills, including Corona Capital (Mexico), Outside Lands (USA), Best Kept Secret (NL), Sideways (Finland), Rock Werchter (Belgium), Low Festival (Spain), as well as taking their classic second album “Antics” as a one off show to headline Days Off Festival at the Philharmonie de Paris (France). The band will begin a run of North American tour dates with Smashing Pumpkins in August.

Interpol released their 7th album, “The Other Side Of Make-Believe”, in July 2022 to critical acclaim. “[Make-Believe] may be Interpol’s most accomplished record since their early run of classics,” wrote The Ringer. NME described the album as “a confident, rewarding and subtly adventurous new chapter”.
