Introducing CREO – "Light It Up"

Following up on the successful release of their previous singles ‘Afterglow’ and ‘Suay’, which saw them score UK’s Amazing Radio’s ‘Artist of the Week’, featured on Triple J Unearthed, as well as receiving spot-rotation airplay from Triple J and numerous community and International radio stations, Sydney-based CREO give you the debut single “Light It Up” from their upcoming EP (due in the coming months).

Noted as having “the emotional power of dynamics that belies their years” (The Music, Sydney), and “devious hooks, malicious guitar tones, numbing dynamics and some of the most fearsome drums this side of indie music” (Casual Band Blogger), the four-piece have built a reputation for having one of the most impressive live shows currently touring the country. From supporting the likes of APES, British India, Loon Lake, Spookyland, and Last Dinosaurs, to touring nationally and selling out venues in Sydney and Melbourne – CREO have proven themselves time and time again on stage, building a loyal and passionate fan-base along the way.

CREO effortlessly mix equal parts energy and emotion as well taking a layered approach to creating their uniquely textured sound.  The four-piece combine infectious pop hooks with poetic lyrics, colourfully detailed guitars, and a relentlessly catchy rhythm section to make one heck of a song. “Light It Up” (Produced by Nathan Sheehy at Jungle Studios in Sydney) is the product of front-man Jorjee Haman‘s struggle to convince himself to forget about the subconscious subordinates that coincide with getting older.

“Sharp, clean and upfront, it provides the song’s consistent heartbeat, akin to the pulsating strobe-lights of the indie club nights it’ll undoubtedly soon soundtrack.” – ROLLING STONE
“CREO presented no mercy, fully immersing the crowd in their sound. They were apocalyptic, unapologetic, and multi-layered as a band.” – THE MUSIC
“Layers oozing guitars and a distinct set of vocals that promise to have everyone’s feet moving”
“Making exuberant noise and writing infectious pop hooks” – TONE DEAF
“I love it. It echoes unapologetic po-faced alt rock melodrama and the kids are going to eat it up with a stick.”
