Introducing: TR GoBrazy with new single ‘Mum Said’

Today, generational South London rapper and producer TR GoBrazy returns with new single ‘Mum Said’. As a producer, he is the architect behind Dave and Central Cee’s era-defining UK rap anthem ‘Sprinter’ and a close collaborator with Jim Legxacy, but as an artist in his own right his sound is disruptive, breathlessly volatile and deeply human.

‘Mum Said’ follows on from his incendiary drop ‘FORREDUCI’ with a Lauzza-directed video which transforms block life into an experience of dollhouse voyeurism. The lyrics offered a keyhole glimpse into the inner city pressures that defined his coming-of-age, and against the playful armour of the production, ‘Mum Said’ deepens TR Gobrazy’s story that continues to unfold.

On the surface, it might seem like a teasing track about not calling his mum enough – but rewarding a close listen, it’s a song about a mother’s pride, the tribulations of his upbringing and a life complicated by his meteoric rise as UK rap’s secret weapon soon to break the surface.
