To coincide with Britain’s impending departure from the European Union, Jah Wobble is set to release a new three track single on Cadiz Music licensed exclusively from the Youth Sounds label on Friday the 30th of August 2019.
A truly inspired collaboration of post – punk innovators, ‘A Very British Coup’ was recorded with renowned producer Youth (Killing Joke)and features the legendary bassist’s former Public Image Ltd band mates Richard Dudanski on drums and guitarist Keith Levene together with lead vocals from Pop Group frontman Mark Stewart, additional bass / keyboards from Youth, Charlie Wardle on Chinese harp and loops from Andrew Weatherall and Nina Walsh.

Released on limited 12” coloured vinyl and available digitally at all the usual outlets, the new song is Wobble and company’s brilliant take on the farce of the long drawn out turmoil of the Brexit situation in the UK and also features a Dogma instrumental dub mix.

‘A Very British Coup’ is the first indication of what to expect from Jah Wobble’s forthcoming album ‘Post Punk Apocalypse Dub’ which is set for release in in October. Produced by Youth and featuring the aforementioned musicians from the single, the new album also features collaborations with the likes of broadcaster and author Vivien Goldman and singer Hollie Cook.
