Jaye Bartell – ‘Laundry Line’

Jaye Bartell shares “Laundry Line” the second single off his latest LP Light Enough, out April 29th. Born in Massachusetts, Jaye Bartell moved to Asheville, NC, in the early 2000s where he began playing music among friends as a parallel activity to his work with poetry and other writing. Writing was his main focus for most of a decade – a time that involved constant traveling and moving around the U.S., mostly between North Carolina and the Pacific Northwest, where he lived on a small island in northern Washington.

Wonderlust aside. one listen to Jaye’s vocal crafted from granite, full of gravitas with both light and dark undertones, The new single follows first signpost ‘Dance With Me’ warmed many a listener, but new single ‘Laundry Line’ just has a solid warm resonance.

April’s ‘light Enough’ LP promises too be another to remember if second single ‘Laundry Line’ is indicative of more to follow, not to rant, but being more plugged in is no felony, whatever the colours are fine, songwriting intact, all’s a good-un. 8/10
