Back to Music: it’s twelve tracks reflecting an eclectic mix of world and roots influences with positive, life affirming messages -making for a warm, ambient rock record. Shultz wrote, arranged and played all of the
instruments on the record. He also produced and recorded Back to Music.
Back to Music reflects Shultz signature aesthetic on plexiglas too… bold, colorful, full of energy and modern. Companies like MGM’s The Bellagio in Las Vegas and Guitar Center commission his work. He built his reputation in and around Los Angeles by playing in bands with members of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone,and P-Funk and at the same time selling thousands of his original paintings to LA residents.”
His first passion is music and he’s completely self-taught. He confesses in an interview with the Toluca Times that, “I started singing my own material a little bit later in life, but I’ve been playing in bands since my teens. I play guitar, bass, drums, and piano, but I also mix, produce, engineer, write, and perform all of my own songs.”
Human Brother’s first release in 2010 Vision Days on the Life Ride received airplay on local tastemaker KCRW FM along with the album Mix Messages that he wrote and produced for Girl Without Fear in 2006.
The track “They Look Like Angels” off of Mix Messages won an LA Music Award for “Electronic Single of
the Year” and received airplay on KROQ’s“Rodney on the Rock” in 2006. The track “The Stars Are Ours To Name” from Vision Days on the Life Ride recently aired on the new CBS series Stalker.
