In the last 18 months, Sweden’s Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation have seen a dramatic rise to prominence. Their debut ‘Diamond Waves’ EP [May, 2014] saw them tour their homelands with Goat and Les Big Byrd, followed by an nomination for Best Newcomer at the Swedish Grammy.
The UK has similarly taken to the band’s blend of motorick drive and kaleidoscopic altered-state psychedelia, with coverage in The Guardian, Q, Uncut, Loud & Quiet, IDOL and Beat Magazine [among others] and continuous play on BBC 6Music for the single ‘Take Me Beyond’, with an invite from Lauren Laverne to record a session.
Today, Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation release their debut album ‘Horse Dance’ via Rocket Recordings. The record is available on CD, Vinyl and Digitally via Bandcamp.
