London-based artist, DJ, vocalist and cultural force Josh Caffé returns with new single ‘Limousine’, alongside the announcement of his forthcoming EP The Velvet Hour – his debut project on the progressive dance label, dh2. A seductive, emotionally charged club record built for the hours after midnight, ‘Limousine’ pairs warped house production with Josh’s unmistakable vocal delivery, telling a story of infidelity and excess. Sleazy and emotionally frayed around the edges, the track pushes Josh further into his singular lane: sophisticated, sweat-drenched club music with real bite.

Co-produced alongside longtime collaborator Quinn Whalley of Paranoid London, with arrangement contributions from George Daniel and mixdown from Margot Broom, ‘Limousine’ channels the spirit of the queer spaces and after-hours dancefloors that have long shaped Josh’s artistry; music made for the moments when connection and freedom are at their highest. Speaking on the track, Josh explains:

“‘Limousine’ is basically a song about infidelity and the emotional mess that comes with it, which is something a lot of people can relate to in one way or another. It’s a fictional story about a partner who’s constantly playing games, sneaking around and choosing to spend his time chasing distractions and seeing someone on the side, even at ridiculous hours of the morning.

The idea of ‘taking a ride in my limousine’ is symbolic. The limousine represents luxury, excess, and that kind of detached lifestyle, but it also becomes a space where the character is forced to reflect on his actions and think about what he stands to lose if the relationship finally falls apart. So underneath the glamour, the song is really about selfishness, emotional avoidance and the consequences that eventually catch up with you.”

Over the last decade, Josh Caffé has become one of London club culture’s most recognisable and respected voices. Whether soundtracking Panorama Bar or his long-running Love Child residency at fabric, his presence has stretched across underground dance music, queer nightlife and fashion. He’s collaborated with artists including Honey Dijon, released music through Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label, and built a reputation for records that pull equally from Chicago house, acid, electroclash and pop. Outside of music, Josh has also worked with brands including Versace and Vivienne Westwood, reflecting the strong visual identity that runs through his work.

Inspired by everyone from Prince and Grace Jones to the cinematic worlds of Gaspar Noé and Yorgos Lanthimos, The Velvet Hour reflects the hazy and hedonistic atmosphere of the 4am dancefloor. Those moments of total abandon and intimacy found deep within queer club culture. Inspired by the set times Josh loves most as a DJ, the EP draws from the energy of spaces including IsBurning, Adonis, Panorama Bar andHorst Festival, capturing what he describes as “that window where you can really experiment sonically and when you’re locked in with the crowd, the connection can feel primal, seductive and playful all at once.”

As both a vocalist and producer, Josh continues to blur the lines between underground dance music, performance art and fashion-forward storytelling, cementing his status as one of the UK club scene’s most distinctive voices. Stay tuned for more coming soon.
