“You can always ‘rely’ on Karen Harding to deliver a killer vocal and here is no exception” Majestic (Kiss FM) “A huge sounding, super infectious pop/dance mega smasher with worldwide hit written all over it” DiscobelleKaren Harding, Future Kings and L’Tric unleash the second instalment from their remix series Rely (Remixes Vol 2) today Friday 3rd April 2020. The package features mixes from a variety of influences created by Andy Murphy, Future Kings, Gold 88, Kesh and OFFAIAH. This new volume is hot off the back of last months’ Rely (Remixes Vol 1), which included reworks from John Gibbons, Majestic & Luis Rumoré, Chloe Wilson, Lowdown and Kyro.
Rely was first released in February 2020, a partnership between labels Ultra Music (Sofi Tukker, Kygo, Deadmau5) and Neon Records (Meduza, Dynoro, Joel Corry). The feel-good, pure pop/dance smash, which riffs cheekily on the Bee Gees’ lyric “we can rely on each other”, also made famous by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, was the brainchild of UK based production duo Paul and Alex, aka Future Kings. Rely also comes with remixes by Offaiah, John Gibbons and Majestic & Luis.
Rely began as a house track crafted by Future Kings, when they started sampling the hook from Pras’ Ghetto Superstar. After an introduction to L’Tric, they were instantly in creative flow on a production level and soon began bouncing the record back and forth between Australia and the UK. Karen Harding was then brought into the mix, and within days laid down her signature catchy songwriting which was developed into a hook for the song. Rely is the first release from the Future Kings and marks the start of a very promising career. The duo have recently completed a host of remixes about to hit the clubs this year for the likes of Todd Terry, Oliver Heldens, Tobtok and Kelli-Leigh, marking them as a new name to watch in 2020. Joining forces on the production front is one of Australia’s most decorated dancefloor innovators, Andy J, aka L’Tric. Andy is a renowned electronic dance music veteran with a string of club #1’s and Australia’s biggest music honour, an ARIA Award, to his credit. He has tens of millions of streams under his belt as L’Tric, including his debut single and UK/USA Club Chart topping smash This Feeling and most recent singles Why and Feel It. Lending her unmistakable powerhouse vocal, is none other than Karen Harding. Karen has co-written, sung and collaborated on major performing tracks with Wilkinson, Paul Woolford, Giorgio Moroder, The Magician, Tujamo, Example, Le Youth and Purple Disco Machine to name a few. With over 160 million combined Spotify streams and monthly listeners ranging over 2 million, Karen Harding is one of the most sought-after talents in dance music today.
