New Album Leo Rising Due Out This Year
“Last month I had positive things to say about Karmin’s momentous, percussive “Didn’t Know You.” Its Western-themed video adds further bombast to the proceedings.” – Stereogum
“Stop and listen to @karminmusic‘s new track “Didn’t Know You.” – Billboard

Taking a cue from classic Hollywood westerns, Karmin have crafted an incredibly polished and engrossing music video for their lead single “Didn’t Know You.” Off of their forthcoming new album, Leo Rising, which is based on the signs of the Zodiac, “Didn’t Know You” is dedicated to the Gemini sign and so is its accompanying video. Enlisting help from one of the best dancers in the game, Comfort Fedoke (Missy Elliott, Michael Jackson tribute tour, So You Think You Can Dance, Footloose), the Picture Council’s Stewart Yost, and one of the most sought after film-makers, Adi Shankar (Lone Survivor, Killing Them Softly), the video is filled with scheming and betrayal. A must watch for any movie-buff, “Didn’t Know You” is now available to watch and share on VEVO.

Throughout their illustrious career Karmin has earned esteemed accolades from musical heavy hitters ranging from Questlove to Diplo. They have performed more than 600 live shows and racked up over a billion collective views of their eye-popping videos.

After surviving the hype of a major label deal, the band amicably parted ways with Epic Records in order to pursue a distinct creative vision that is represented on their upcoming album, Leo Rising. Despite the struggles they’ve endured, Karmin have emerged with a stylistically wide-ranging and truly artistic statement-making album that finds them presenting the most authentic version of who they are to date. All this thanks to clear-eyed, honest storytelling, sonic boundary-pushing, and expanded creative control with Amy and Nick serving as executive producers and Nick stepping up as both a lead vocalist and producer.

Earlier this year, Karmin released a taste of their new sound with songs, “Sugar” and “Yesterday.” Leo Rising LP is forthcoming, alongside a short film and a traveling art exhibit.
