Kira Puru on the clip:
“I met Josh Harris (director) about three years ago while he was filming a take-away show series for my friend, Kristina Miltiadou. He’s made some great clips for people like Chela, Tully on Tully, Gang of Youths and Cosmo Black (you can check them out at welcomethemachines.com.au)
We sat down at a bar in Collingwood and talked references, the two strongest being Lapalux’s Without You music video and a series of instagram shorts by a comedian from my hometown, Rhys Nicholson called #RhysSyncs. Both crystallised that sense of loneliness that I wanted in my own video. Three days after that, we were in a seedy motor in with a bottle of whiskey and a bag of confetti guns.”
In aid of her debut single, Kira has announced two shows in Sydney and Melbourne in August, this will be a rare chance to see her perform new material with her new band.
