Showtime + Shabbat Time + Travel Time.

I crushed it on TV this past week. Wild ‘N Out. Since it is Pride Month, shout out to my homegirl Sidney Starrbad who is our fav Transgender TV superstar the show “Love and Hip Hop.”! She killed it on the show and it was one of my best shows all Season 19 and she rocks my merch Def tune into to VH1 to watch it. Season 20 comes out July 6 BTW!

Personally, I just recorded a new podcast detailing all my sober life hacks and discussions with my friend Maddie. Watch an in-depth GET REAL show. We go deep and it’s nearly 90 minutes of raw me and my story.

Travel-wise, I head to Poland next week for some shows and work with Holocaust Survivors and Ukrainian refugees alongside Value Culture Hit me up for more info!

For this newsletter… want to share with you this massive Hobby list I have created.

These places above are exciting but what we really love right now are HOBBIES. I am becoming a Hobbyist! Political people become lobbyists. I am becoming a Hobbyist. I am obsessed lol.

Let me know if there are any obscure things we should ad and let’s grow this list.

I think I’ll show this all on my Patreon which I will work on more!

THE OFFICIAL KOSHA DILLZ HOBBY LIST aka RAMI’s HOBBIES

1. Polaroid Camera Pro – I bought 5 rolls of Film after Grillos Pickles gave me a camera. I realize I don’t wanna spend $2 on every person I meet but it is great to take photos of friends.
2. Hula Hooping – There is a class where I lost my new necklace (part of it) but rediscovered it and there is a group of Hoopers. Body movement is so important for me and extremely strong in healing stuff. Gotta move those hips. Free class in 34th street herald square.
3. Roller Skates – I am in the process of ordering a pair of skates from my phone. Not Rollerbladers. Skates!
4. Running + Lifting – these are optional as indoor and outdoor things I have already been doing but just a nice reminder, it is nice to work out while outside. Schvitzing baby. Central Park. Other parks. Prospect Park.
5. Cooking – I am now a cook. I am not a chef. But a man who can cook is a cook. I have had some Shabbats and prepping for others is really awesome. I am trying to cook all the time. I might have to document a cooking project.
6. Gardening + Yardwork – I have been buying soil and plants to plant in my backyard. We should also add “Powerwashering” to this while doing this activity.
7. Birdwatching – Do you remember reading about the guy in Central Park who was attacked by the “Karen.” He just released a book. Birdwatching. He has a book and the guy who interviewed me for the ABC Nightline / Hulu doc is gonna try to connect me. Basically I am hoping he will take me on a birdwatching mandate.
8. Outdoor Films – There is one place in Bushwick that does it and you can watch it in the summer. Not really a hobby but outdoor film is great or maybe foreign language films or silent films all under one category.
9. Collecting and Selling Vintage – They say hobbies are good that make you money. I am interested in buying and selling shirts from $10-$50 and one time found a shirt for $8 and sold it for $400. I love a little hustle so I’m gonna ditch my old and go sell some new.
10. Karaoke – I have always despised karaoke because I thought I was a “real singer” but that is just dumb actually and immature so I walked into a local bar the other night and felt the vibes. So now I am going to do it. I lived in Koreatown LA for 9 years and did karaoke once. That is like living in Jerusalem and not doing a Friday night Shabbat dinner.
11. Group Dancing – There are these group dances I am gonna do Swedish dancing today. I did Some public Salsa. I think there are other things.

12. Cheese class – I walked into some place by Gramercy but that seemed cool. I guess there are other options for a cooking class.
13. Sew a quilt or amy sewing / crocheting – There is an open workshop next to my place in Bushwick that has basic prices for things. The most expensive is a quilt for $225 but they have open desks and sewing machines and using them is sick in regards to making custom merch pieces.
14. Collecting Obscure Things – I have recently come across very old Jewish/ Israeli LIFE Magazines and Vinyl pieces. I literally got one vinyl of a live 1973 performance at Madison Square Garden entitled “YOU ARE A JEW.” I also collect magnets from my travels for my fridge.
15. Street performing – To me this is a spiritual activity of creation, being in the moment and work, but it is very healing.
16. Writing Club – I have been writing a lot. They say Write Drunk… Edit Sober. And I think being in a group writing has always been appealing. 12-step programs occasionally would do group inventory collectively. I might show up to some meetups just for that group vibe. I have been writing a lot of personal stuff, and I want to revisit short stories.

17. Garage Sale-ing (or sailing) – This is a great activity and hobby. You can sell everything you don’t want in your place, or nearly give it away. I once bought a Versace pillow for $2 in Hollywood. It is a good excuse to grill and hang with friends for mocktails/ cocktails etc. This was one of my favorite experiences as a child and before moving. I also sell some of my own stuff I find. Then we can go to other garage sales/sidewalk sales.
18. JumpRope – This is a great activity. There are double Dutch things and all but I want to really be a great jump roper. You can order them for 12 bucks on Amazone
19. Poetry on a Typewriter – I have always been fascinated by typewriters. My Friend Shauna does poetry on the street and my friend Erez collects old ones. I think this is fun to have a typewriter. Writing in a book (journaling) but freestyle poetry is beautiful and makes a great gift. I think I can also use it in my business with music etc, but mostly to fund my other hobbies.
20. Group cleanups – I live in a very dirty neighborhood so I am in the process of a group cleanup. This consists of me grabbing gloves, the pickup sticks, and trash bags. Then we get to ideally make more.
21. Drop into an Improv Class / Comedy Class – The PIT in NYC does this. There are tons of IMPROV’ers but I love skit creation and improv outside of rap! Learning is quite the jive for me.
22. Flying a Beach Kite – Flying a kite is very peaceful. You just put it in the air. Go to the beach. Fly a kite. You can let someone else hold it. I want to go fly a kite.
23. Pickle making + veggie growing- This summer I am finally making my own pickles. This would be in the world of gardening, but for me, it is cool to be making it. There is also this thing from LETTUCEGROW, in which you basically buy a shelf for a room of 18 plants to grow from Broccoli to Basil. It is like a TV but for growing.
24 Grilling Baby! – Meat grilling is great. Sausage. Corn. The girl.. The gas grill. I have one in my backyard. I am the grill master. I am a man who grills.
25. A house party/dinner party – I plan to invite people to my backyard this summer since I am now trying to show off my garden. This is my new thing. We are going to have a housewarming event and book touring artists and all and I’m gonna cook. I did this recently and it was just delish.

3 important extra credit ones!!

26. Becoming a Sunglasses person – This is quite rewarding to look at life in a different shade with different frames from various price points. There are $1 glasses and also $600 glasses.
27. Green Screening – I have a green screen from a job I did. Now my life goal is to use it in various circumstances. You can use greenscreens and make so much cool content in the world you create.
and now the most important one…

28. START A RAMI CLUB – I think about this often. There are meet-ups for Brians. Meet up for Ryans. Kyles. Why isn’t there a meet-up for Rami’s??? I think we could bring many people with differences together!! Do we leave it open for Ramy’s? I don’t know!
