It has been a bit since the NYC marathon. I tried to bring the world together with a 9 second video. and I evengot my interviews on the cover of the Daily Mail
I made a few new “Man on the Street” interviews. It is similar to freestyling, in that the purpose is finding the vibe without rhyming. Finding the jokes and finding the right beat of what you are delivering. I have only done it 3 times. 2 in NYC and DC and one at the major rally for Jews in DC 🙂
RECAP
I made some nice positive DC moments with Ben Gleib (comedian!)
I almost cried with one girl because I once did a program with her and her commander died in battle. (she is holding a sign with his pic on it) I held it in but I recall it being a fun moment amidst a solemn story and it shook me up.
I made another street interview here with Michael Rapaport. But I made a really nice one in Washington DC with Scooter Braun…Justin Bieber’s Manager and Swiftie Icon! Lol. This dude has exactly the same experiences many of us Jewish kids in hip-hop have. The ability to connect with those who are on both sides of a conflict and have respect for him due to his achievements in pop culture, and hip hop culture, and will now listen to him about Jewish culture.
To achieve that is quite a milestone. Last night, I went to The Comedy Cellar to have a Mediterranean meal after the Russian Turkish Bathhouse spa, (I love it there!) I went there and a famous comedian (2!) came up to me and said how much they loved what I was doing. One of them was a writer on Borat 2. That means a lot since I am winging this all, but since it is my real life, I guess we are all prepared for that moment.
