The Teatro del Silenzio , inaugurated by Andrea Bocelli , is located in the hills of Lajatico , the birthplace of the famous singer. Initially designed to host only one show a year, the structure is a circular stage that hosts a unique set every year . On non-working days, the stage transforms into an artificial lake, making this place a true ” Natural Theater “, immersed in the silence of Tuscany.
Ralf Hütter and his associates will bring to Italy the classics of Kraftwerk’s discography , from “Autobahn” to “Tour de France Soundtracks”, for a unique show that combines music and performance art . The historic band from Düsseldorf , among the most influential and visionary on the music scene, is in fact a true ” Gesamtkunstwerk” – a total work of art .
The multimedia project Kraftwerk was founded in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider . The two founded their electronic studio Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf, Germany, where they conceived and produced all of Kraftwerk’s albums. In the mid-1970s, Kraftwerk achieved international recognition for their revolutionary “soundscapes” and their musical experimentation with robotics and other technical innovations. With their futuristic visions, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack for the digital age of the 21st century. Their compositions , which use innovative techniques, synthetic voices and computer-generated rhythms, have influenced many musical genres, including electronica, hip hop, techno and synthpop . In their live performances, the German band consisting of Ralf Hütter , Henning Schmitz , Georg Bongartzand Falk Grieffenhagen , illustrate their belief in the respective contributions of man and machine. In recent years, Kraftwerk have come full circle, returning to their roots within the Düsseldorf art scene. The 3-D concert series at MoMA was followed by further performances at the Tate Modern Turbine Hall (London), the Akasaka Blitz (Tokyo), the Opera House (Sydney), the Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), the Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris), the Neue National Galerie (Berlin) and the Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao). In 2014, Electro pioneer Ralf Hütter and his former partner were honored with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In October 2021, Kraftwerk were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
