Last Night From Glasgow – New Bathers LP, Sister John, Brontes
Quite a lot to get through in this last newsletter of May. Let’s start with the big news of the day.
Chris Thomson has completed the finishing touches to this little beauty and the masters are hot footing it to Paul Mcgeechan. Sweer Deceit – The Park Circus Sessions, which Chris himself describes as “A cracking album” of which he is “very proud”
The album will be released in November 2026 and is available to pre-order now. This will form part of Gold 9, Gold 15 and Unobtanium bundles.

We will have 2 or 3 more new releases to advise you of in the coming weeks, all aspects of Deer Leader’s new album have been completed and we are close to revealing the plans for the next F.O. Machete record. Emma Dunlop has agreed the timeline for hew debut LP and we have nailed down the apects of Vickie Paxton’s debut album and the next Starless LP It’s all go!

A year ago today we released “Don’t Worry It’s Forever” – certainly one of the best records we have ever had the priviledge of supporting. One week later we were celebrating another number 1 release. To honour it’s anniversary, we will be hosting a listening event tonight at 8pm. This will be virtual for anyone who wishes to attend but in person for any folks who might fancy popping along to LNFG Towers for an hour.
Drop a message to us and let us know if you’re interested in attending and we will send over all details.
If you are seeing MHS society on tour in June, you will be also seeing Amanda and Jonathan of Sister John, so this may be a good chance to aquaint yourself with their beauty.

Anyone attending our Birthday Bash in May, will now know that these girls are the real deal. Had a catch up meeting with Amelia, Eva and Katie yesterday. (Get well soon Erin) We discussed many things but high on the agenda was the plan to get the band stateside for festival appearances in 2026. Invites have arrived and the job now is working out how feasible such may be. If you are a member of LNFG, have a look in the forum as we will be discussing some ideas and you can maybe help.
If you’d like to do your bit, then buy their LP or CD or better still grab tickets for their shows in England this Autumn!
Bogle have just finished recording the final tracks for their debut vinyl release coming later this year. Don’t forget that they will be joining the girls in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and London. There should be enough of you, reading this, to sell out all shows easily, so why not give it a go. Grab a ticket for a pal whilst you’re at it. If you’re a fan of either band and know folks in these towns, then badger them. Selling gig tickets just now, for small shows, is unnaturally difficult. Knowing that these shows will be viable early is key to all forms of planning. So we would really appreciate your support.
We will be Chart reporting a bunch of LPs this week. All sales received before Midnight Thursday will count and we hope to land a few top ten releases this week.
Following our massive stock take and reorganisation of Big Blue, we have a very attractive checkout offer this week. This is only available with the purchase of an LP, so no being that twonk who tries to grab the bonus item only. We can see you!
I know a few of you have been asking for updates on our Pressure Point 12″. It’s one of very few releases that has had a few issues in manufacture, we are clear of these now and we hope to be shipping in the next 10 days. We should have similar results for Tim Finn, Steven Lindsay and Milltown Brothers. Everything else currently in manufacture will be landing from July/August onwards
That should be enough to be getting on with shouldn’t it?
If this lands twice – apologies, we are testing dynamic IPs to try and resolve an issue with BT servers.
