Today, Lauren Auder is releasing his debut EP. Who Carry’s You is out now via True Panther Sounds, and to coincide with the release Lauren is sharing a new video. “For Those Who Patiently Endure,” taken from the new project, is accompanied by a hauntingly intimate Kevin Elamrani-directed visual, which finds Lauren alone in the corner of an all white room.
Lauren Auder is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter born in the United Kingdom and raised in the south west of France. Lauren honed his craft in his teenage years producing and lending his baritone drawl in the underground french rap and experimental electronic scenes. Over the last two years Lauren has been developing his own sound in bedroom studios across provincial France and London, adopting the ethos of classic era baroque pop to fuse elements of post-rock and soul with modern classical, ambient and experimental electronics. Entirely self-written, Lauren calls on a litany of international producers from within his circle to refine and elevate the final project. Lauren co-produced all of the tracks with Lyon’s Dviance (his primary collaborator), Boston-based Mmph, London’s Hyetal, and some others, occasionally united by bedroom sessions but mostly forged online. Lauren’s debut EP Who Carry’s You is the result of this fusion – a deeply intimate 5-track suite of songs from the mind of a unique and singular, rapidly evolving talent.
On March 28th, Lauren will kick off the Who Carry’s You tour, which will see him play five shows in Europe in support of the EP. Hear Who Carry’s You and watch “For Those Who Patiently Endure” above, and see below for full EP details and tour routing.
