Lighting Up The Tilt Sign
Out August 5th, 2016 on Close To Home Records
Following the release of their double A-side single Monochrome/Derailed last year, North West grunge quartet Leatherneck are back with their awesome new EP ‘Lighting Up The Tilt Sign’. The EP is out on the 5th August via Close To Home Records.
Recorded in the winter of 2015, following a lineup and name change (the band were formerly Bohica), the EP represents a time of unpredictability and transformation for the band. Speaking of the release the band said “Lighting Up The Tilt Sign’ is when we were finding our feet and direction, so within these changes came the uncertainty of being in an unfamiliar place. The songs represent these themes for us pretty well”.
Stemming from the North West DIY circuit Leatherneck combine 90s emo with the sludgy tones of early grunge, creating a sound that echoes the bleak surroundings of North West England. After a stint on the road with Simmer and Water Canvas in spring, the band will be out again in support of the EP this summer.
