Leogun – London Show And New EP "Majick Potion" Out On 11th September
LEOGUN
E.P ‘MAJICK POTION’
RELEASE DATE: 11th SEPTEMBER 2015
London Date – 10th Sept 2015
Leogun are set to release their debut UK E.P ‘Majick Potion’ through Maybe Records (Karma To Burn, The Toadies, Sucioperro) on 11th September 2015.
UK three piece Leogun have an unusual story. Signed to Yamaha’s fledgling label in the USA the band toured relentlessly in the USA – supporting the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, KISS and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band also appeared on the annual USA KISS CRUISE twice after being invited back by the hosts and SXSW. This USA story led to them being picked up in the UK without even a live agent over here – they have played the likes of Sonisphere and British Summer Time (with Bon Jovi) festivals. They also were main support to Extreme and, most recently, Lynyrd Skynyrd – including a show stopping performance at a sold out Hammersmith Apollo in March 2015. How many bands without any release in the UK could have a partisan 3,500 crowd eating out of their hands…
‘Majick Potion’ is the band first foray into the UK. It shows a band blessed with a unique sound and, importantly, tunes. From the heavy riffing of first single “Disconnected” to the multi layered “Majick Potion”, from the blissful “Beauty Queen” to EP closer “It’s Okay”, this merges driving rhythms with the powerful guitar work and unique vocals of Tommy Smith. The EP was produced by Ritchie Kayvan (best known for this work with Tom Allom – Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Def Leppard) and was mastered by Mandy Parnell (The Last Shadow Puppets, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers).
The band are currently recording a full length album and they will be touring the UK later in 2015.
So far confirmed is.
