LEWIS WATSON RELEASES NEW EP ‘THE WILD’ ON MARCH 26TH ON WARNER BROS. RECORDS

Biggest headline tour to date including London show at King’s College.

Already backed by an online following of over 55,000 fans on Facebook, Oxford’s twenty-year-old musician Lewis Watson is an integral part of a growing movement of talented young singer-songwriters such as Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Ben Howard and Jake Bugg.

After his debut EP ‘It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW’ topped the iTunes singer-songwriter chart on the first day of release, outselling the likes of Adele, Madonna and Ed Sheeran, Lewis’s second ‘Another Four Sad Songs’ EP continued his rise to prominence as publications including The Independent, The Sun, the Daily Mail and the Daily Star all listed him as one of their top tips for 2013. His growing stardom has also seen him play gigs and achieve impressive chart positions in the States and Australia.

Now, Lewis Watson will release his third EP ‘The Wild’ on March 26th on Warner Bros. Records. Its lead track ‘Into The Wild’ shows how his sound has matured from stripped-down singer-songwriter material to a full band production which neatly contrasts delicate verses with an expansive hook.

The EP also features two other new songs in the shape of ‘It Could Be Better’ and ‘Little Darling’, and is completed by his take on SBTRKT’s ‘Hold On’ which he decided to record after being impressed by their performance of the song at Latitude.
With shows coming up supporting Lianne La Havas and Kodaline, as well as festival dates including Bestival, Live at Leeds, Great Escape and Camp Bestival, Lewis is steadily becoming the scene’s next big thing. Next month’s headline tour – listed below – sees him playing a London venue that’s four times bigger than the venue he played during his headline tour last October:
