Lewis Watson Releases The Wild EP Drops April 2nd via Warner Music

Lewis Watson will release The Wild EP, his third of a series of EPs via Warner Music, on April 2, 2013. The London-based songwriter is known to create music that emanates warmth and optimism and has quickly gained a massive international fanbase with 40K+ fans on Twitter and Facebook.

With his previous covers of Bon Iver and Bombay Bicycle Club receiving a great deal of fan attention, Lewis treats us to another special cover on The Wild EP. Originally by SBTRKT, “Hold On” reveals Lewis’ darker yet sentimental side with smooth, R&B-influenced vocals. The gentle harmonies, handclaps and driving guitar melodies of “Into The Wild” tell a lush love story. The “Into The Wild” video premiered with Clash Music and you can watch it HERE. Hailed by BBC Radio 1 & The Independent and more, Lewis’ Another Four Sad Songs EP reached #2 on the UK iTunes Singer Songwriter chart and #23 on the same US chart when it was released this past October via Warner Music. He has also collaborated with producers and writers including Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys), Richard Wilkinson (Kaiser Chiefs) and Kid Harpoon (Florence + The Machine).
The EP also features two other new songs in the shape of ‘It Could Be Better’ and ‘Little Darling’, and is completed by his take on SBTRKT’s ‘Hold On’ which he decided to record after being impressed by their performance of the song at Latitude.
With shows coming up supporting Lianne La Havas and Kodaline, as well as festival dates including Bestival, Live at Leeds, Great Escape and Camp Bestival, Lewis is steadily becoming the scene’s next big thing. Next month’s headline tour – listed below – sees him playing a London venue that’s four times bigger than the venue he played during his headline tour last October:
