2015 has been a busy year for Lights, having toured relentlessly around the U.S. and Canada, as well as a successful promo trip to Europe for a bunch of TVs and Press. Whilst in the UK, Lights brought her unique sound to 1883 where she did an acoustic cover of Major Lazer’s Lean On (check it out here), as well as sessions for Daytrotter and Crypt, and two very special performances for VintageTV. Lights is currently in the midst of a 6 week tour of the US where she will play LA’s historic Wiltern theatre in December.
October saw Lights release her first single proper in the UK, Up We Go through Warner Bros. Records, and the video can be watched here. It was taken from her brilliant third album, Little Machines, which is out now, and available to buy from iTunes. Lights is set to release her next single, Same Sea in March 2016 around the UK dates. You can watch the video here
Lights has also been invited by Paramore to play Parahoy! next March, alongside Chvrches and X Ambassadors, sailing from Miami to Mexico over 4 days. The sold-out cruise will include intimate gigs, and a chance to get up-close and personal with all the artists performing.Little Machines was produced and engineered by Drew Pearson, with singles mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent (Madonna, U2, Beyonce), and was recorded in L.A and Vancouver. Earlier this year, Little Machines won the JUNO Award for Pop Album of the Year. Little Machines has led to extensive touring and sold out headline shows across North America and Europe, and this Spring Lights took to the stage at the prestigious Coachella Festival, and toured alongside chart toppers One Republic.
