30-date UK Festival run also confirmed

“Lush, catchy…a good indication of where pop and indie meet” NME
“Clean Cut Kid are the thing missing in your life” DIY
“Earworms that channel Fleetwood Mac, Prefab Sprout and the White Stripes” Sunday Times Culture
“Clean Cut Kid arrive with a clear sense of direction and momentum…quite remarkable” Clash
“Melodies that will lodge cleverly and instantly between your ears” Line Of Best Fit

Clean Cut Kid have unveiled a unique rework of Jamie xx’s ‘Loud Places’, which premieres today and is available for free download. The band are currently undertaking an exhaustive 30-date run of UK festivals, with the likes of Glastonbury, Latitude, Secret Garden Party, Reading & Leeds, Festival No.6 and Bestival still to come.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Vampire Weekend or Haim, Clean Cut Kid channel a lifetime of hard-earned experiences into their instantly-infectious style of (say the band) “fuzzy pop ballads, washed in Mersey water” – a method which is applied to impressive effect on today’s reimagining of ‘Loud Places’ by Jamie xx.
Having cut their teeth on the live circuit – where they are sure to excel this summer – ‘Loud Places’ follows the Liverpudlian four-piece’s breakout early tracks ‘Vitamin C’, ‘Runaway’ and ‘Pick Me Up’. These have variously seen Clean Cut Kid added to the In New Music We Trust list at Radio 1, make Spotify’s Viral Chart, tour with the likes of Years & Years and Shura, plus sell-out their own set of nationwide dates (including London’s 100 Club, and a series of packed-out homecoming shows in Liverpool).
With a stunning new single expected via Polydor in the coming weeks, Clean Cut Kid are Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson. Watch them go.
