“Weird Milk channel Beach Boys harmonies and lilting nostalgia” – DIY“The band’s acerbic, off beat charms are building into something rather intriguing, with each new release adding another string to their bow” – Clash“The West London weavers are packing off-kilter swoons all over the place, and it’s bloody lovely” – Dork

London-based baroque pop quartet Weird Milk signal their intentions for 2019 with swaggering new cut Anything You Want, the latest eccentric offering from a band set on crafting their own unique style and doing so with aplomb.

Channelling the influences of The Beach Boys, The Strokes and Rex Orange County, the four-piece have already ticked off a series of impressive support slots this year alongside the likes of Pip Blom, FEWS, Thyla and Lazy Day, whilst gaining fans in BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq.

Speaking ahead of their forthcoming release, the upstarts stated: “The aim was to create a song of upbeat pop structure that sounded expansive and punchy in terms of production. With the verse lyrics matching this feel with the idea of being able to have anything you want, juxtaposed with a repeating chorus of being at home and sleeping all weekend, these two notions act almost as a conversation of call and response”. With appearances at The Great Escape and a slew of festival slots lined up over the summer months, Anything You Want heralds an exciting new phase in Weird Milk’s development with further new releases in the pipeline. Weird Milk’s Anything You Want is out now and available on all digital platforms.
