Unveils new electro banger track ‘Inside of Me’ out via Kitsuné Musique

LA based producer / DJ / live instrumentalist Lonely Boy is poised to release his new track with the arrival of ‘Inside of Me’ out through Kitsuné Musique this May.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Human League and Holy Ghost, Lonely Boy talks about the track. “Simplicity was key for me during the writing and production process. Straight away, the long drawn out synth chords really set the mood. The retro drum groove is congruous with the arpeggiated bass line, and that foundation is really the meat and potatoes of the whole song. All of the harmonic and melodic elements are just an extension of the bass line.”

He goes on to add, “I don’t consider myself a strong lyricist. Most of the time I just get on the mic and riff until I find a melody I like. The lyrics are often born randomly from the vocal sounds that come out during the experimentation.. I tried writing other lyrics and parts, but nothing really connected, so I kept it simple. The first time I sang it live, I caught people singing the lyrics during the breakdown, and knew it was a winner. It’s catchy and universal. Some people think it’s about drugs, some people think it’s about love. Whatever it means to you, is all good by me. I’m just happy if you dig it!”

Since his debut in 2013, Lonely Boy’s star is on the rise. Blurring the lines between Disco, Funk, Jazz and House, he is the consummate purveyor of good vibes. Yes, he’s released timeless tracks on labels such as Kitsuné Musique, Future Boogie and Armada Deep, but live is where this musical wizard really shines. With his Fender bass at his side, he jams on the keys and wails through the vocoder, captivating his audience in a symphonic wall of sound.
