Looking for ways to make your Latitude experience even better? ⭐⛺
We are thrilled to announce that leading news brand The Independent will interview top talent from our line up, bringing fans exclusive interviews in the build-up to our 20th edition. A series of video interviews will go live weekly, featuring The Independent’s journalists in conversation with some of the brilliant musicians, thinkers and comedians on the Latitude bill.
First up is BAFTA-nominated comedian Rosie Jones.Rosie Jones may be one of Britain’s sharpest comedians, but she’s facing an unexpected creative crisis: happiness. Ahead of performing on our Comedy Arena this summer, Jones revealed that her blossoming relationship is proving something of a comedic obstacle.
“We’ve been together a year and it’s so boring how happy I am,” she tells The Independent. “No one likes hearing that I’m just happy and in a really loving relationship — it’s no good for jokes.”

Next up is Youtuber-turned-musician James Marriott, who revealed the nerve-wracking reality of chasing a UK number one, after his album Don’t Tell the Dog beat Sabrina Carpenter and Oasis to the top spot in 2025. The singer, who will make his Latitude debut on our Second Stage this July, explains how artists receive their award and film their acceptance interview on the Tuesday, three days before the official result is confirmed on the Friday.
“You have no idea if you’ve got it or not,” he tells The Independent. “There’s probably an archive of artists holding number one awards and doing interviews — and they don’t get it.”
