Today, Sir Taegan Harris aka Love Spells shares another taste of his debut album LOVE IS THE LAW out July 24 via RCA Records with new single ‘Maybe I Still Love You’. Known for his compelling rhythmic, groove-based sound, Love Spells comes to terms with the significance of a former love on the stripped-back closing track. Against the backdrop of a delicate piano, shimmering guitar riffs and his dreamy falsetto, he finds closure in finally recognizing the depth of his emotions.

Speaking on the track, Love Spells shares: “‘Maybe I Still Love You’ is for anyone still fighting with feelings they can’t ignore, that moment of coming to terms with the fact that you still care and want to keep caring. Because above all, you have to believe in love for love to be seen.”

‘Maybe I Still Love You’ follows ‘Keep It To Yourself’, a smooth and soulful track about the intensities of a relationship that included a Tanner Deutsch-directed video featuring Harris winning his love over with his seductive choreography and graceful presence. The video directly ties to the cinematic visual for the sweet, sultry single “Crutch” released in April – both using dance and movement as an expression of emotive storytelling.

Later this year, Harris will play multiple international festivals including All Things Go, Lollapalooza, Pukkelpop, All Points East UK and Rock en Sein along with a 28-date debut headline tour kicking off in Europe this summer. His London headliner at Moth Club on August 27th is sold out alongside Paris, LA, New York and San Diego; the demand has warranted venue upgrades and second dates. ‘Crutch’ initially premiered on Kevin Abstract and Dominic Fike’s Apple Music Geezer Radio earlier this year. The song charted on NACC Top 200 and received support from outlets such as CLASH, Wonderland, NME, Rough Trade, Pigeons & Planes and NOTION magazine who dubbed him “an indie bedroom pop artist crafting deceptively minimal songs saturated with longing, intimacy, and a quiet, persistent limerence that feels both cinematic and emotionally attuned to the present moment.”

The release of both tracks from the forthcoming debut arrives alongside a run of sold-out underplay shows across Los Angeles, cementing Harris’ reputation as a magnetic live performer. Later this year, Harris will play multiple festivals including All Points East, Pukkelpop, Rock en Sein, All Things Go and Lollapalooza along with a 28-date headline tour kicking off in Europe this summer with a show at London’s MOTH club on August 27th. Artist pre-sale starts on Tuesday, June 2 at 10:00am local and general on-sale begins on Friday, June 5 at 10:00am local. List of all the tour dates below and get your tickets HERE.

At 18, Houston-born singer Love Spells poured his passion for love into music, manifesting a career out of his ambition as he battled homelessness for years. Eventually, he traveled to California where he lived with a friend he met online, traveling to different music studios everyday to perfect his sound. After six months, he returned to Houston and received a call from Kevin Abstract who invited him to work on his 2025 album Blushwhich connected him to his now frequent collaborators, Dominic Fike and Deb Never.

That life changing experience pushed him to return to Los Angeles and work on LOVE IS THE LAW with Danny Parra, Boy Deco, Brad Hale, Rodaidh McDonald, Alex Craig and the legendary Rick Nowels. Harris yearned to create an album that was reminiscent of his nights spent at Numbers, a beloved dance club and long-standing safe haven for alternative communities in Houston, TX. There, he would dance to ‘70s, ‘80s and New Wave music and wanted to inject that feeling into his music, seeking out similar spaces in LA and leaning on those eras in the studio. Classic movies such as Dirty Dancing and Footloose were another source of inspiration, wanting the record to have a similar “theatrical yet authentic” feeling.
