London in Stereo – ‘Relatable and affecting’ Loyle Carner has written a bespoke rap for BT Sport’s coverage of the Champion’s League Final on Saturday 3rd June between Real Madrid and Juventus at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. He performs it around landmarks in Cardiff, chronicling the journey that each club took to the final, and ends the performance on the Millennium Stadium pitch. As a big fan of the beautiful game you can hear his enthusiasm as he takes the viewer through the twists, turns and goals of European football’s most prestigious club tournament. The rap is going to be broadcasted before kick off on BT Sport.

Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ and a sold out UK and European tour, Loyle Carner announced to fans he’d be playing O2 Brixton Academy on 6th October. Loyle’s insight, erudition and poetic intensity have earned him the respect of all the right people: die-hard hip-hop fans, industry insiders and most importantly, his peers. ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ is planted at an intersection between the boom-bap of East Coast hip-hop, jazz-inflected portraits of South London, and soulful laid back pop. There’s a bedrock of honest and raw sentimentality running through ‘Yesterday’s Gone’.
